May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  If you are coming from
you are in the right place.
This month's stamp set is called Pinwheels and I did a complete layout featuring my daughter here.

You can get this stamp set from May 1st through May 31st for $17.95 (after May 31st the vault will close and this set will no longer be available!).
Or you can place an order of $50 or more with your Close To My Heart consultant
or on my website here and get this stamp set for only $5!

I created a Mother's Day gift using this stamp set.

I cut the circle tag with the Cricut Artiste cartridge at 3 1/2 inches, the orange circle from the Dream Pop paper pack at 3 1/4 inches and the White circle at 3 inches.  Then I stamped the circle, glued it to the orange circle and then used foam tape to pop it up on the tag.
The denim chevron ribbon was used to adhere the tag to my canning jar.

I stamped the pinwheel with the May stamp of the month in Sunset and Navy ink.  The paper pinwheels in the bouquet itself were created using the Dream Pop Paper (the same pattern piece I used for the 3 1/4 inch circle).  They are just squares of paper, cut in on each corner and folded over.  I used liquid glass to glue them to the back of a wooden skewer and put them in my flowers.

Thanks for stopping by.  I am in love with this Dream Pop paper so come back each day this month to see a different project I created with it :)

Hope on over to Stamp 'till Dawn's blog to see what she created using this stamp set.  Happy Hopping!

Linked In Blog Hop - April Showers

Welcome to our Linked In Blog Hop!  We are so very glad to have you here!!

One fine day Valerie Ward contacted me about helping her put together a blog hop
with our crafting friends on Linked In.  I loved the idea!!
So we are excited to bring you crafters from around the world on our very first (of many) blog hop.

First a little details :)  If you have never done a blog hop before you will "hop" from one blog to the next viewing various projects created around a theme.  Our theme for April is "April Showers".   Each month the hop will have a different theme and will start on the 15th of the month and end on the last day of the month.  On the first of the next month we will announce our hop winner.

To kick off our event we have a prize package for you valued at over $150!

I created a tea themed bridal shower package for this hop.  This theme "Love is brewing" would also work perfectly for a baby shower "A Baby is brewing".  I just love tea parties :)

First I created this Tea Party Invitation - the center paper slides off to reveal the information for the party - time, place and a space for all the details about the bride to be and her party.

I wasn't thrilled with the Love Is Brewing stamped so I think for the rest of these I'll just print it out on the computer.

Next I made a little shower favor paper purse with a mini thank you card - this would be perfect for putting a tea bag and some candies in as a favor and thank you for coming gift.

For the purse you need:
Cardstock cut at 5.25 x 3.25 and score each side at 0.75
score each little square on the ends of the cardstock diagonally in the center -
fold in and create your box base
Your Pattern Paper should be cut at 4 x 12
put adhesive along one side of the 12" and one 4" and
wrap it around your box base attaching at the back.

Decorate as desired.  I used the brand new CTMH Dream Pop paper - coming May 1st to create this purse - I just love the colors!  In addition I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the scallop at 2 inches and then trimmed 0.25 off the bottom to use for the handle.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to enter for our prize package (valued at over $150) which includes the Artiste Cartridge from Close To My heart!
After you enter Hop on over to Valerie's blog and see what she created for this hop :)

Exciting News!

I've been hired by Scrapbook News & Review to teach on-line classes!  I'm so excited!!

My first class, stretch your stamps, will start June 14th (more details coming) and will feature cards, scrapbook pages, and home decorations created with stamps.  I will show you how to use one stamp three different ways, five different ways, and unique ways.  We will use alphabet stamps to create scrapbook pages and more.  We'll learn how to use seasons stamps for non-seasonal projects and more!

I demonstrated how to use small stamp (from a Christmas stamp set) to create a larger image (in this tag a flower) in a tutorial over on Scrapbook News & Review blog!  I'd love it if you would visit and leave a comment :)

Close To My Heart Dream Pop Blog Hop

I'm so excited to welcome you to the Dream Pop paper Blog Hop!  This pack of paper is just so super fun and I'm going to be posting a project a day created with this paper - that is right I have created 30 projects with just one pack of paper and have paper left over to create more - this is an amazing paper pack :)

If you are coming from Maria's blog you are in the right place.

I created a layout using this paper pack.  I chose to document the photos of my daughter dancing in her tutu - "everyday moments" and am participating in Scrapbook Challenges April "Everyday Moments" challenge.  Her dancing in the photo just screamed to me "May Stamp of the Month" because she indeed makes my "world go round" :)

Starting May 1st you can get this paper pack from your Close To My Heart Consultant
or off of my website for $10 with a $35 purchase (total of $45 plus tax and shipping) or get this paper pack free when you join my crafting club/team for $49 in May.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Now hop on over to Gina's blog and see what she created with this beautiful paper.
